2019 is on the Horizon!

Hey all! We are once again preparing to enter into a new year - and I am SO GRATEFUL to be at the door of 2019! Let me tell you why…

BUT FIRST - Welcome to my blog! This is such an exciting (and slightly anxiety-producing) move for me, as I have tried blogging before, but I have never had the vision that I now have. This blog will be a place to talk about life with chronic illnesses, relationships, God, divine purpose and assignments, and just LIFE in general. And I’ve got something special to start the new year off on the right track…

But before we start looking forward, I want to quickly look back to 2018. Yikes. It was interesting. And it was hands down the most difficult year of my life. But it was also the year that I grew the most - spiritually, emotionally and, according to my clothes size, physically. It was the year that I learned that obedience to God’s instruction is the pathway to peace. And the year I realized just how incredibly important my husband was to me. God revealed to me my purpose and thorn (we will get into this more in a future post), my areas of growth, and my future ministry. 2018 taught me that God can and WILL speak through anything and everything, and He will carry us if we just admit we can’t do it on our own. But my biggest lesson of 2018 was that God keeps His promises, and He does what He says He will. God told me exactly where I’d be at the end of 2018, and here I am, still in awe - completely amazed - at what has transpired and humbly sitting in the position He put me in.

So … when God says “do this", DO IT. When He says “prepare,” GET READY. And when He says “This is what I have for you,” KNOW AND BELIEVE that you will receive it.

Speaking of obedience, preparation, and faith – I want to start 2019 off by equipping myself for the rest of the year. I want peace and joy in every area of my life, and I want to be victorious over my illness. I want the same for everyone reading this. So, I’m inviting you to join me every day in January - I will be sharing scripture, tools, tips and encouragement to battle your illness. If you don’t have a chronic illness – no worries, I pray that what I have to say can be meaningful to you too!
